After having some rust issues on some of our brand new stainless kitchen appliances we were told by our some locals and our kitchen cabinet company (Alno) that the best way to keep your stainless free from rust and looking new is WD40.
No need to make a run to the hardware store as every gas station in Aruba stocks cases of the stuff.
Just spray it on a soft cloth and wipe down the stainless surface. It seems the thin coating of the WD40 keeps the air from reaching the surface. It also doesn't show finger prints. Some people use it weekly.
