Terrific! Mesclun salad with goat cheese in filo dough and the onion soup was fabulous. Entrees - the Brazilian triple fish dish and the chicken with spicy tomato butter were both wonderful. The duck was very different and those who had it would not order this again.
Dessert - try to walnut ice cream with expresso topping! YUMMY!
Down the street from Que Pasa - diagonally across from the rear of Renaissance.
Jane and I went here last week and really enjoyed the entire evening. Good food, service and atmosphere. These are the same people who own Mirandi (on the water just past the airport) and Que Pasa (right down the street from Yemanji). The only thing I would do differently would be to call the day before and get a table reserved in the outside area. Enjoy!
Update: Antonietta, Steven and I sat outside when we dined at the restaurant in September and some sections of the outside area (closest to the brick wall) are pretty much out of the wind. This is great if it is extremely windy but this particular night it was very hot, with low winds and we were not comfortable. If you'd like a hot sauna with your meal then the corner table, closest to the wall, on a hot night, is a good deal!
Since the last post - they have installed a 'fence' outside - but remember they have inside dining also! SO!!!! This post is to inform anyone coming in May - that they are offering their regular menu (no specials, no liquor) at "dollars to florin'....when you show your local ID or an electric bill, etc....
This is still one of our top picks here on this 'one happy island'!
